NASA Creates Breathable Air On MARS With The Aid Of MIT Scientists & MOXIE

NASA

An experiment has been conducted by NASA for the past two years to see if they could produce oxygen on the planet of MARS. The scientists have finally created enough on MARS as of now, to help a small dog live and survive.

The device that was used for creating the said oxygen is named MOXIE (Mars Oxygen In–Situ Resource Utilization), which forms a part of Mars Perseverance Rover. It was created to find out if the air of the planet could produce enough oxygen. The machine had been running experiments and tests for the past two years, ever since.

The creation of the machine is accredited by the one and only MIT Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Their creators focus on helping out the study of future exploration on the part of humans.

The NASA press release informed us that the device had till now already produced 122 gms of Oxygen – which is comparable to roughly 10 hours of breathable air for a small-sized dog.

The experiment has exceeded NASA’s expectations as the device produced 12 gms of oxygen per hour and at ninety-eight percent purity.
