Instagram Influencer Sentenced To Prison For Using COVID-Relief Funds To Support Her Extravagant Lifestyle

Danielle Miller (32 years old), an Instagram influencer got sentenced to 5 years in prison for the usage of stolen identities and illegally securing more than a million dollars in the form of pandemic-related funds/loans. The funds that she obtained then got used by her to flaunt her exquisite lifestyle on social media

She has more than thirty-four thousand followers on her Instagram profile. She made use of all the stolen identities of about ten people combined in order to get pandemic loans as a form of relief. 

After getting the funds by manipulation, she utilized them to fund her lavish lifestyle even chartering a private jet and renting out an exquisite apartment. 

The acting United States Attorney of Massachusetts made a statement: 

Today’s sentencing should make it crystal clear that curating a high-society social media presence on the backs of hardworking taxpayers is a path to prison, not fleeting fame

The federal judge of the court then sentenced Miller, to a total of 5 years in prison and an additional 3 years under strict supervised release. She also has to pay up a restitution and that is to be determined later on by the Court.
